Every manufacturer with equipment older than ten years has run into this problem: a component breaks, you go to order a replacement, and the part number no longer exists. The OEM stopped making it. The aftermarket has nothing. Your options are machine it from scratch, find a used one, or take the equipment offline.
There's a fourth option that's faster and cheaper than most people expect: print it.
What We Can Replicate
With the broken part in hand (or sometimes just a photo and some measurements), we can model and print functional replacements for a wide range of components:
- Housings and enclosures — plastic guards, covers, junction boxes
- Guides and slides — wear parts that are cheap to replace but hard to source
- Brackets and mounts — custom angles and offsets that were stamped or cast originally
- Handles and knobs — ergonomic or functional grips that simply wear out
The Process
Bring us the original part — or what's left of it. We measure critical dimensions, model it in CAD, and print a test fit before committing to final quantity. For most simple parts this takes one business day. For more complex geometry, two to three.
We document the file so if you need the part again six months from now, we can reprint it immediately.
What We Can't Replace
We're straightforward about limitations. Parts that carry structural load, see high continuous temperatures (above ~100°C for standard materials), or require certified material properties are outside the scope of what we offer. If that's your situation, we'll tell you upfront rather than sell you something that won't hold up.
For everything else — the brackets, guards, guides, and housings that make up the majority of maintenance headaches — we can almost certainly help.
