What Makes Fast Turnaround Possible
Additive manufacturing has no setup time in the traditional sense. There's no fixturing, no toolpath programming, no waiting for a machine to be freed up from a longer job. Once a file is ready and approved, it goes into the print queue immediately.
Our typical flow:
- You submit a request — a CAD file, a photo, or just a description
- We confirm and quote — usually within a few hours during business days
- Print starts — most jobs run overnight or during off-peak hours
- Inspection and handoff — we check the part before it leaves
For simple, well-defined parts with a file attached, the whole cycle from first contact to pickup can be under 24 hours.
When It Takes Longer
Turnaround stretches when:
- We need to design the part from scratch. If you're bringing us a broken original and no file, we need to measure, model, and confirm before printing. Add 4–12 hours depending on complexity.
- Multiple iterations are needed. First prints on a new design sometimes need a fit check before we commit to final quantity.
- Print time is long. Large parts or dense infill settings can mean 8–12 hour print times by themselves.
What You Can Do to Speed Things Up
The single biggest factor is having a file ready. Even a rough CAD model or a clean photo with dimensions gets us most of the way there. The more information upfront, the less back-and-forth, and the faster we move.
